Overview

The Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service ensures children traveling alone are cared for throughout their journey. SkyXpress provides dedicated assistance from check-in to arrival, giving parents peace of mind and children a safe, comfortable travel experience.

Eligibility


  • Mandatory UM service: Children aged [5–11 years] must use the service when traveling alone.

  • Optional UM service: Available for young travelers aged [12–15 years] upon request.

  • Children under 5 years cannot travel alone and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

 

How to Sign Up

You can request the Unaccompanied Minor service when booking your child’s flight:

  1. During Online Booking

    • Select the option “Child traveling alone” when entering passenger details.

    • Complete the UM service request form with guardian and pickup information.

    • Pay the applicable service fee at checkout 

  2. Through SkyXpress Customer Care or Travel Agency

    • Contact SkyXpress Customer Care or your travel agent to add the UM service to an existing or new booking.

    • Provide guardian details, emergency contacts, and pickup arrangements at the destination.

  3. At the Airport (if not pre-booked)

    • Visit the SkyXpress service desk at least 2 hours before departure.

    • Fill in the UM handling form.

 

What the Service Includes

  • Dedicated ground staff to escort the child during check-in, security, and boarding.

  • Cabin crew assistance throughout the flight, including seating close to staff.

  • Supervised handover at the destination airport to the authorized guardian listed on the UM form.

  • Continuous updates provided to the parent/guardian during the journey.

Documents Required

  • Copy of child’s passport and valid travel documents (visa if required).

  • Completed Unaccompanied Minor Service Form (provided online or at the airport).

  • Contact details of both the parent/guardian dropping off and picking up the child

Fees

  • A UM service fee is available at no additional cost.

Important Notes

  • Parents/guardians must remain at the airport until the flight has departed.

  • The guardian picking up the child must show valid identification that matches the details on the UM form.

  • Advance booking is strongly recommended to ensure availability of the service.
